Mama Marini came about to Tuckahoe after her thievin' husband left her behind after robbing some local homesteaders and took oft' in the middle of the night while Mama was takin care of some, ummm business in the woods.  After wandering 'round a bit, Mama found her way into Tuckahoe City and after some benevolent townsfolk took her, she did laundry and other odd jobs till she met the Duke...Duke Dume that is......
